Making friends through drama in Shenfield

A group activity outside school can introduce children to a different circle of people. At Dreams in Shenfield, singing, dance and drama give students something to create together.

A shared task

Rehearsing a scene gives children a reason to listen, remember cues and respond to other performers. Group dance and singing also depend on taking part together, rather than working in isolation.

Give connections time

A first session can feel unfamiliar. Ask your child who they worked with and what they enjoyed, without expecting an instant best friend. Familiar faces and repeated activities can make returning feel easier.

Main classes meet on Wednesdays, 4.30–7.00 pm, at Hutton Community Centre. Tell us about any first-day worries when requesting a trial. We can discuss how to introduce your child to the group.
