Is theatre school suitable for an energetic child?

Theatre school includes movement, group activities and quieter moments of listening or rehearsal. An energetic child may enjoy that variety, but it is worth understanding the full session before joining.

Movement with a purpose

Dance routines give children a sequence to learn. Drama games and character work may also involve moving around the space. Alongside those activities, students need to hear instructions and be aware of other people.

Ask about the balance

Tell us what your child enjoys and what can be difficult after a school day. We can discuss the session length and the activities. A trial is useful for seeing whether the group feels like a good fit.

Chelmsford class details

Our main Chelmsford session meets at Galleywood Infants School on Tuesdays, 4.30–7.00 pm, for ages 5–18. Request a trial and wait for us to confirm the date before attending.
