A child does not need to be outgoing to be interested in drama. Before the first class, tell us what they enjoy and what feels unfamiliar about joining a group.
Talk before the trial
Explain that the session includes singing, dance and drama with other children. Let us know whether your child is worried about speaking, making friends or being away from you, so we can discuss a suitable introduction.
Look for small signs of enjoyment
Afterwards, ask what they noticed or enjoyed. Joining one activity, remembering a song or recognising another child can matter as much as speaking in front of the whole group.
Avoid a deadline for confidence
Children settle at different rates. We do not promise a particular result after a set number of weeks. A free trial is a way to explore whether Dreams feels right, with the date and arrangements agreed beforehand.
