If you are looking for an after-school activity in Romford, Shenfield, or Chelmsford, you’ve likely asked yourself: "Should I put my child into a dance school or a drama club?"
Both are fantastic for development, but they offer very different "confidence boosts." At Dreams Theatre School, we combine both (along with singing!) because we’ve seen that the variety of the **Triple Threat** approach is the fastest way to help a child grow.
Dance: The Confidence of Physical Grace
Dance is wonderful for posture, discipline, and physical fitness. For children in Gidea Park or Harold Wood, learning to control their bodies through choreography provides a sense of "physical confidence." However, dance alone doesn't always help a child find their vocal voice.
Drama: The Confidence of Vocal Expression
Drama focuses on communication. By playing characters and improvising, children in Writtle and Danbury learn to speak up, share ideas, and make eye contact. It’s the "social confidence" that helps them in school presentations and playground friendships.
The Dreams Difference: Why Choose?
At our Shenfield branch (serving Brentwood and Billericay), we don't make you choose. Our sessions ensure that every child dances AND acts. We find this prevents boredom and ensures that if a child is struggling with a dance step, they know that in 20 minutes they will be succeeding in a fun drama game. This balance keeps their self-esteem high throughout the entire session.
Experience the best of both worlds
Our inclusive classes in Romford, Shenfield, and Chelmsford offer an all-round performing arts education. No experience is necessary—just a desire to have fun and shine!
