What happens in an early years performing arts class?

Younger children often explore stories through movement, song and pretend play. An early years session brings these activities into a short group setting.

Short, varied activities

A session might involve moving to music, copying a gesture or imagining a character. Simple activities give children different ways to join in without needing to read a script or learn a polished routine.

Joining a group

Taking turns, listening for a musical cue and sharing a story are part of the experience. Children may need time to become familiar with the teacher, space and other participants.

Dainties meets at Hutton Community Centre on Wednesdays, 3.45–4.15 pm. Contact us with your child’s age to discuss suitability, current places, fees and a first visit. Main theatre school sessions are a separate programme for ages 5–18.
