A younger child’s first creative class should be considered as a whole experience: the activities, the teacher, the group and the journey there. Enjoyment and suitability matter more than promises about future achievement.
Ask about the format
Short activities involving music, movement and stories can offer different ways to join in. Ask about session length, how parents are involved in a first visit and what to bring.
Let familiarity develop
Children do not all respond to a new activity in the same way. Talk to the teacher about what you notice and avoid comparing your child’s participation with someone else’s.

Our early years group meets at Hutton Community Centre in Shenfield on Wednesdays, 3.45–4.15 pm. Please contact us to discuss the current age range, places, fees and arrangements for trying the group.
For questions about your child’s first visit, contact Dreams Theatre School. Main sessions combine singing, dance and drama for ages 5–18.
