For children aged 3 to 5, language is the key to the world. At Dreams Theatre School, we use the "playful" nature of the stage to help our Dainties in Shenfield develop clear, confident, and expressive speech.

Whether your child is a "chatterbox" or a little more reserved, our specialized sessions at the Hutton Community Centre provide a rich environment for language growth. Here is how it works.

1. Vocabulary Through Imaginative Play

In every Dainties session, we go on an adventure. One week we are astronauts, the next we are jungle explorers. This introduce children to "tier 2" words—descriptive words they might not hear in everyday conversation. By "acting out" these words, they understand their meaning and start using them naturally.

2. Pronunciation and Projection

Singing is a huge part of our 3-5 year old sessions. Rhythmic songs and nursery rhymes help children hear the different "beats" and sounds within words. We also play "Big Voice, Little Voice" games that teach them how to project their voice clearly—a vital skill for when they start school.

3. The Confidence to Communicate

Often, a "speech delay" is actually a "confidence delay." By creating a safe, high-energy space where there are no "wrong answers," we encourage 3-year-olds to speak up. Our Shenfield-based coaches are experts at prompting children to share their ideas, helping them build the neural pathways needed for quick, confident communication.

Help your little one find their voice

Our Dainties classes meet every Wednesday at 3:45 pm in Shenfield. It’s the perfect, low-pressure way to boost your child’s communication skills before they start school.
